A Lagos-based man, Afolabi Maiyegun who allegedly battered his wife and boasted about it on Facebook, has been arrested.
The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team (DSVRT) took to its Twitter account on Thursday to confirm his arrest.
The body also said that the man would be charged to court on May 15.
Maiyegun had taken to his Facebook account to brag about beating his wife on May 5, while also challenge the police to come for his arrest.
“I beat my wife and I am waiting for her police because I talk to a woman,” he had written in company of photos of the allegedly battered spouse.
